The varied terrain of the Ozarks is a cyclist’s dream. The Twin Lakes area and Baxter County offers exciting road courses with hairpin curves, flat stretches for leisurely rides and a number of mountain biking trails for all experience levels – from beginners to experts.
David’s Trail, just east of Mountain Home at the edge of Lake Norfork, offers both paved segments and miles of natural surface trail.
Pigeon Creek, north of Mountain Home on Lake Norfork, is a National Recreation Trail maintained by the Twin Lakes Bicycle Club that includes miles of mountain biking trails.
Syllamo Mountain Bike Trail, south of Mountain Home, has a series of interconnecting loops offering 50 miles of trail for mountain bikers. The trail is located in the heart of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest.
Two Rivers Bike Park, A purpose-built, multi-use trail system, Two Rivers Bike Park boasts 8.5 miles of near-pristine Ozarks terrain for mountain bikers, runners, and hikers. The nearly 400-acre park sits just off the scenic Finley and James River confluence. Its trails feature mostly natural surfaces and offer the thrills of climbing and drop sections, rock features, built-in curved walls, and other optional stunts.
